Glossary

  • Anonymity Set: The total number of deposits in a given pool (e.g., the 10 SOL pool). The larger the anonymity set, the more users your transaction is mixed with, and the stronger your privacy.

  • Non-Custodial: A system where users maintain control of their own private keys and assets. The service provider cannot access or move user funds.

  • Relayer: An automated service that submits a user's transaction to the blockchain and pays the network fee on their behalf. This is crucial for privacy, as it allows withdrawals to new, empty wallets.

  • Secret Note: The unique cryptographic key generated upon deposit. It is the only way to prove ownership and withdraw your funds.

  • Shielding / Unshielding: Another term for depositing (shielding) and withdrawing (unshielding) funds from the privacy pool.

  • Zero-Knowledge Proof (ZK-Proof): A cryptographic method that allows one party to prove to another that a statement is true, without revealing any information beyond the validity of the statement itself. In our case, you prove you own funds without revealing which funds are yours.
